Start from wheelbase and safe wheel position
Buyers often begin with the total vehicle length, but the more useful selection reference is the wheelbase and the wheel position on the circular platform. The wheels should remain on the platform with a clear safety margin from the edge.
For residential projects, the site opening, driveway width, door position and turning direction also matter. For display projects, the visible floor finish, rotation speed and customer viewing distance may be more important.
Diameter
Choose enough platform diameter for the vehicle type and wheel clearance.
Load
Use gross vehicle weight rather than empty vehicle weight for rated capacity.
Installation
Confirm pit-mounted or pitless structure before final design.
